Trades at the cemetery

Not only are the cemetery administrations active in the cemetery, but also numerous external trades such as morticians, gardeners and stonemasons. Smooth cooperation between these parties is essential, but there are often various challenges that stand in the way.

The high level of complexity results from the large number of different trades that need to be coordinated. In addition, there are often communication gaps as responsibilities are not always clearly defined. Another problem is the lack of centralization of information, which makes coordination more difficult. This significantly increases both the time and resources required, while at the same time increasing the potential for errors due to misunderstandings or insufficient information.

To overcome these challenges, PBSGEO GmbH has developed a digital cemetery map. With the citizen information service, cemetery administrations can publish the digital plan on the internet and make it accessible to all parties involved. This gives external trades uncomplicated access to important information. In addition, an integrated communication tool – such as task management – enables the targeted and location-specific delegation of tasks. This allows administrators to send specific orders directly to morticians, cemetery gardeners or stonemasons. All tasks are documented in the digital plan and can be supplemented with images or additional documents if required.

A digital cemetery plan has numerous advantages: it creates clarity and transparency in the distribution of tasks and offers a central platform for all relevant information. External trades can easily send feedback and status updates, making communication more efficient. At the same time, structured task planning facilitates better time management, while the documentation of all processes ensures traceable and binding communication. Overall, collaboration is significantly improved by digital solutions.

PBSGEO is a spin-off of Planungsbüro Schumacher. This connection can still be recognized today by the first three letters of our company name.

We started in 2011 as an engineering office for geoinformatics and initially worked on a large number of projects relating to the processing of geodata for public administrations.
