The Cologne Symposium of the Digital Cemetery took place from October 12 to 13, 2023. With over 120 participants from public, church and private cemetery administrations, the event was fully booked to the last seat.
Digitalization” is a topic of great political and social relevance. The annual economic report of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy can be used as an indicator of the importance of “digitalization” in politics. While the term “digitalization” was only mentioned eleven times in 2014, the number of mentions increased almost sixfold to 62 in 2018. So digitalization is on people’s minds. But what does this mean for cemetery administrations?
